We integrate women’s empowerment with sustainable food systems. One of our flagship ventures is the cultivation of sweet potatoes, a crop that nourishes households, sustains markets, and restores the land. 

This nursery also provides a platform for youth engagement. In a region where many young people face unemployment and the lure of alcohol, the nursery introduces them to propagation, agribusiness training, and business ideation, helping them discover pathways to dignity and self-reliance.

Our vision extends beyond fresh milk. We are working towards value addition in goat milk processing, exploring products such as:

Cheese: including soft and semi-hard varieties

Yoghurt: probiotic-rich and tailored to local tastes. 

MHI seeks to transform this modest herd into a model women-led goat dairy enterprise.
